Ticks

Photographed by John Glenn
Atlanta, GA - May 2011

I went from never having a tick in my life to a couple in only a matter of days. Such is the life of running around naked in nature with a photographer. I spent the evening and morning shooting with Scott Nichol, who shoots wonderfully beautiful fine art, and cooks really well, and can now add to his check list "supervised the removal off tick off of art model's pubic area."

I am doing a Stan Goldstein workshop this Saturday, June 4, in Manhattan.

I'd love to see more of you New Yorkers and New Jersey folks there. :)

Fifty percent of my shoots on motorcycles have ended with the bike falling on me.

Places

Photographed by Mac Moss
Greensboro, NC - April 2010

I spent the weekend on Roanoke Island shooting with a good friend I have not seen in over a year. The locations we shot in were fabulous and catching up with my friend was a delight.

I have been on the road for two solid years now. When I first started I was sleeping in my car on occasion for lack of people to stay with - now I have friends in most parts of the country. I have places I visit several times a year and other places that are newer to me. I am ready to meet new people and take trips to places I have not been to in almost a year and a half, and yet, I keep feeling drawn back to certain places because of the people there.

Keira, it is time you get yourself back to New Mexico and Colorado. It is time to go to Europe.

nature

Photographed by John Glenn
Atlanta, Georgia - April 2011

I am without internet and phone reception for the next couple of days, but found a little nook and a few moments to post these couple of photos. Both done on the same shoot just a couple of days ago in a place I now find myself fond of - Atlanta, Georgia. I like to think these show my versatility as a model - I finally understand glamour and yet my artful side is strong as ever.

Today I braved the surprise chilly weather to shoot in the woods and spent the afternoon touring around my friend's dad's organic farm. A couple of days in the woods and on a farm is a good thing before my travel up through the east coast and all its craziness.

Naked Grandeur

Photos from a shoot I did with Jack Gilbert in Idaho on my first road trip as a model in July 2009 are published as the featured set on Michelle 7 right now. Seeing these is a glimpse at where I came from as a model and a reminder that photos can surface long after an initial photo shoot.

Road Trip East

Photographed by Anthony Alberts
Brooklyn, NY - March 2011

My road trip to the east coast began today.

Tonight and tomorrow I am in Texarkana. My hotel is in Texas and the other side of the street is Arkansas. It isn't every day that I get to (have to?) jaywalk from one state to another to buy myself some dinner.

Limited availability still left in Birmingham, Atlanta and North Carolina.

Time to start booking Washington DC, New York and Boston.

This and next year I am going to be adding more international travel, so these upcoming trips are my last ones to the specific areas for a long time. (hint, hint)
